Be the Change You Want to See in the World, in your Town, in your Community…

There’s Always Something You – Yourself – Can Do       to Make a Remarkable Difference Where You Are

We are living in crazy times, during which it has been difficult to truly know from whom to listen, in whom to trust, where to turn for honest information, how to move forward safely.

From a higher perspective, it hardly matters what ‘side of the aisle’ you agree with, whose programs you back, which policies you adhere to – if you can stand away from the middle of the drama, you can see that what is being pushed forward is often more about confusion, disinformation & distraction than it is to actually inform and resolve. How can anyone find the best place to stand to act honorably and productively?

Taking time to choose your path…

Open a space for a broader viewpoint, right in your own backyard (or living room) –

If you will stop, and for a moment to think back about 8 years, maybe 10, when you did not own a cell phone… when the only way to speak with another person was by a land line or in person. When you didn’t check your email more than once or twice a day, no more often than you checked your mailbox for a postal delivery. When people still wrote snail-mail, still bought stamps, still sent cards and letters.  Can you remember that time, recall how you were completely content to communicate in these ways because it was what you expected and were used to?

Consider exactly How you have come to believe that your life is ‘better’ because you have access to a pocket-sized device with which you can be in near-instant verbal, visual, and video communication with anyone across the planet – now, is it really a good thing? Please review in what ways has this truly improved your daily life, your children’s lives, your work life, your peace of mind, your sense of safety… how much newly-found ‘free time’ and ease has actually been gained? Or, are your thoughts and your attention more and more congested, more distracted and full? This self-inquiry alone can set you on a path of becoming more ‘intentional’ in life.
